谷 迅博士,1998-2002年任爱荷华州立大学遗传发育与细胞生物学学系助理教授，2002年晋升副教授(终身), 2006年晋升教授(终身)。担任“分子系统发生与进化学”, Genetica, Journal of Experimental Zoology B杂志编委或副主编。2001年获杜邦青年教员奖，获NIH和NSF多项资助。2004年获中国国家杰出青年基金海外合作项目。 研究领域涉及生物信息学, 计算生物学, 进化比较基因组学、系统生物学的演化、和人类遗传学和灵长类进化。已发表80 余篇论文.
